Our philosophy. The philosophy of Envirosax® is to help create a better future for our planet by spreading the environmental message through colour and script using the Envirosax® eco-friendly reusable bag as the vehicle.

Envirosax is proud to help protect the environment for tomorrow’s generation by providing an eco-friendly alternative to disposable shopping bags that have caused so much damage to the environment worldwide. Envirosax bags are lightweight, portable, waterproof and each one holds the equivalent of two supermarket plastic bags thanks to reinforced seams.

We believe in environmental sustainability. Plastic bags clog drains and cause flooding. They pollute rivers and streams, killing animals and destroying plantlife. They take years to photodegrade and have a very short life span. Envirosax provide a compelling alternative to the plastic bags which are doing so much damage to our planet.

Envirosax donates a percentage of its sales to charities and non-profit organisations dedicated to the preservation of the environment.

Our lifestyle. Founded by Belinda and Mark David-Tooze in 2004, Envirosax® originates from Currumbin Valley in South East Queensland, Australia. The Envirosax team uses renewable and recyclable products where possible, and is committed to operating on ecologically sustainable principles.

Situated on 10 acres of pristine Australian rainforest, Belinda, Mark and their three young children live an ecologically sustainable lifestyle with solar hot water and photovoltaic cells for electricity. A sewage system recycles waste water, watering the extensive permaculture gardens and filtered rainwater tanks provide the organic vegetable gardens, fruit trees and the premises with water.

They live totally off the grid and are living the sustainable lifestyle that we hope will spread to more and more homes in the future.

Our educational initiatives. Envirosax is committed to spreading the environmental message across the globe. We feel we have a responsibility to help educate the global community in the four areas of sustainability: environmental, social, cultural and economic. Envirosax is committed in keeping up to date with sustainable practises around the world, and annually an Envirosax team member attends the International Conference on Environmental, Cultural, Economic and Social Sustainability. At the Third International Conference on Sustainability in Chennai, India, 2007 our team member presented a paper on introducing sustainability into the school curriculum from K-12.

Envirosax also supports the Monterey Bay's Science Under Sail Project. The project presents science in a fun relaxed atmosphere, where guests aboard the Derek M Baylis, a 65-foot eco-friendly sailboat designed for ocean research, can observe how researchers and naturalists conduct tests and experiments to better understand how global warming and environmental changes are affecting the marine environment.

Our logo. The three bags signify the environmental alternative to plastic bags. Each of the images that appear on the bags has a philosophy behind it. The leaf represents flora and the eco-friendly nature of the bags; the fragile butterfly represents fauna whose habitat is conserved through the eradication of plastic bags. The classic “recycle” logo is captured with a brush stroke, which also recognises the artists involved in designing Envirosax®
